The Chicago Department of Housing services can be accessed by call 311. Services include, H-Rail Program for home improvements related to safety and weatherization as well as Housing Resource Centers which help in locating affordable housing

Resources range from healthy aging programs to care management and home health services, all of which address the issues that often accompany aging.
CJE SeniorLife Adult Day Programs provide older adults with a supervised, structured program in a group setting focusing on the potential of each participant and giving caregivers a respite.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

LIHEAP is a federally-funded program to help eligible low-income households meet their home heating and/or cooling needs. The U.S. Administration of Children and Families' Division of Energy Assistance in the Office of Community Services administers LIHEAP at the federal level. On the local level, Community and Economic Development Association (CEDA) administer the program. You can apply for LIHEAP assistance at local social service agencies.
