Caregiving is an incredibly challenging and personal experience that can have a dramatic impact on your daily life. It is not easy to care for a loved one, though the experience is not without its share of joys and blessings. It is also something you do not need to do alone. Often helping an older person starts with small, manageable tasks that can be done in a brief amount of time; cooking a meal, balancing a checkbook, making a medical appointment. As time passes and the older person needs more assistance, you may quickly become overwhelmed by trying to manage needs and schedules. Just as it “takes a village” to provide for children, a well-organized care team, a caregiving circle, is best equipped to serve older adults.
